Ensures access to and familiarity with all Policies and Procedures applicable to the job
Receive tasks/duties from the Shift Technician and or Process Engineer
Obtain the correct process instructions for the job to be performed
Set-up the Assembly Jigs & Fixtures/Machinery & Equipment as per the process instructions and adjust the necessary to ensure acceptable quality and quantity production
Ensure set-ups and line changes are carried out with minimum interruption of production and maximum attention to minimizing set-up/line-change times
Check the operation on a regular basis during the production cycle and ensure that required quality and quantity (cycle times) are maintained
Check all unused tools, Jigs and Fixtures for damage and ensure same are stored in correct locations
Maintain high standard of housekeeping & safe working practices at all times.
To ensure that all activities within my area of responsibilities are performed in compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures, and legislation with specific emphasis on Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects.
Undertake the safe & efficient installation of all new mechanical and electrical equipment, plant & machinery as directed.
Prompt and efficient attendance to all breakdowns & stoppages due to electrical /mechanical failure or fault.
Conduct inspections & preventative maintenance of all electrical/mechanical equipment, plant and machinery as directed
Performance of shift, overtime (subject to legislated constraints) & stand - by duties in accordance with departmental rosters or as directed by Management.
Undertake any other task, projects or duties as allocated by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Electrical, Mechatronics or Millwright qualifications, robotic programming, Hotplate Welding, Vibration Welding, Ultrasonic Welding and assembly knowledge will be advantageous.
