Join our client, in the manufacturing industry, as an Assistant accountant. The role will be reporting into an Accountant. The position is based in Epping. You will have to work from the office every day, starting at 7am, but finishing off at 4pm and Fridays at 13h00. The ideal candidate will be academically qualified (Relevant Diploma in accounting or auditing) with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience obtained in the financial division of a manufacturing concern, with international exposure. Debtors Function: Reconciliation, follow up on outstanding debtors, attend to queries. Payments: Check and process of all local and overseas payments. Bank Institution correspondence: Prepare and submit overseas payments, EOI Submissions – declare to the bank the shipping documents of upfront payments processed. Ensure effective overview and retrieval system. Monthly Accounting Accruals processing Payroll: Process Wages payroll (Weekly and Monthly wages) on Pastel Preparation of returns MIBFA – Wages staff contributions for provident fund. DOL – UIF. SARS payments Completed 3 year financial diploma Finance experience in a manufacturing concern essential Previous experience working with international payments/Forex absolutely essential Previous experience with capturing of weekly payroll highly advantageous Experience in any ERP system is essential High proficiency in the full MS Office package with specific reference to Excel Clear ITC record non-negotiable requirement Up to R30K per month (no medical aid or pension fund)
