Assistant Broker - Stellenbosch
Our client, a key player in the agricultural trading sector in South Africa, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Broker to join their successful team. As an Assistant Broker, you'll be at the forefront of agricultural commodity trading, working with a diverse range of clients and products. Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in agricultural trading
- BCom qualification with strong Excel skills
- SAFEX qualification: SAIFM Agricultural Products Market Dealers Examination
- Programming knowledge is a plus
You'll also need to complete the following examinations during employment:
- RPE Introduction to the Financial Markets
- RPE The Derivatives Market
- RPE The Regulation and Ethics of the South African Financial Markets

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Executing trades for clients on the Swordfish platform
- Preparing insightful market reports
- Managing client accounts
- Attending JSE workshops in Johannesburg
- Contributing to marketing initiatives to expand our client base
- Applying knowledge of cost calculation, inventory management, and spreadsheet control
- Occasional travel as required
