Our client in the Retail Industry, requires the services of an Assistant Legal and Credit Manager to manage credit and related legal issues. Key performance areas: Review debtors age analysis per region regularly Ensure ongoing maintenance and housekeeping of the department Schedule and manage regular meetings with Credit Manager Inspect all report on franchise agreements for validity and compliance Inspect and report securities (Notarial Bonds, Bank Guarantees and Cessions) held and update with new where applicable in relation with Credit facilities Remain informed about NCA on on-going basis Ensure that all accounts written off are authorised Manage Weekly Management meetings The successful candidate must have: Matric with a B.Com Accounting Degree or any relevant qualification At least 5 years' experience in a similar role Understanding of accounting principles and the NCA SAP experience would be advantageous Must be able to work in a team, be adaptable and to take accountability Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, time-management skills and numeracy skills Must be able to lead a team Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Must be willing to travel Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
