A position has become available with one of our clients, an International Large Law firm based in Sandton for an Associate, working with the partners in the Banking and Finance Practice Group. Drafting of agreements and corporate documents. Managing transactions (including cross-border transactions) and engaging with borrower and lender clients and local counsel in other jurisdiction. Researching and advising on all aspects of South African financial services legislation and contract law (as it applies to finance transactions). Attending independently to matters. Assisting with the training of junior team members and clients, on request. Participating actively in the team's business development initiatives. LLB or equivalent. Admitted as an attorney of the High Court. 1-3 years post qualification experience. Experience in corporate and commercial work. Ability to draft agreements. Ability to manage work streams on multiple transactions. Ability to work within and as part of a team. Ability to manage own time effectively. Ability to delegate to and work with junior professionals. Market Related.
