Our client in the Banking Industry is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their team Summary: As a Cloud Engineer specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions within our client's organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud infrastructure and services to meet business objectives. Your expertise in AWS will be instrumental in optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability while adhering to best practices and security standards. Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable AWS architecture designs. Develop cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices. Design and implement high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies. Implementation and Deployment: Configure and deploy AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc., based on project requirements. Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config. Conduct regular performance analysis and optimization of AWS resources to ensure cost efficiency and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud services. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) for AWS environments. Configure and manage AWS security services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS WAF, AWS Shield, etc. Conduct security assessments and audits, and remediate vulnerabilities in AWS infrastructure. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document architecture designs, configurations, and procedures for AWS infrastructure. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Stay updated with AWS services, features, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on AWS services. Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles. Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, version control, etc.). Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards for cloud environments. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
