DUR002041 BOOKKEEPER – KLOOF (KZN) Our client in the construction industry, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. Purpose of the job: To accurately complete and maintain accurate books on accounts payable & receivable. Required Qualifications 1. Relevant Tertiary Qualification 2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role Technical Competencies and responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Reconcile accounts and maintain financial records. Full accounting function up to Trial Balance (Debtors, Creditors, journals, cash books). VAT calculations and submission of returns PAYE, UIF, SDL returns (advantageous) Fixed asset register and depreciation calculations. A solid understanding of basic accounting principles Day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries Behavioural Competencies: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Reconcile accounts and maintain financial records. Full accounting function up to Trial Balance (Debtors, Creditors, journals, cash books). VAT calculations and submission of returns PAYE, UIF, SDL returns (advantageous) Fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
