The individual must be highly dynamic, be a self-motivator with excellent managerial skills, strong leadership with the ability to implement managerial controls, pose of outstanding reporting and interpersonal skills and is highly competent in utilizing various managerial tools to achieve the organizational objectives. The main purpose of the Branch Manager is to ensure smooth operation of the Branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for overall Store Performance, KPI achievement and Action Plan implementation. Operations Oversee the daily operations of the business and align with Business KPI's. Develop and create growth strategies. Implement all new initiatives created by head office Work with head office support departments to accomplish and solve all required tasks and challenges. Ensure that all departments are always clean and presentable. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning. Walk the floor regularly, engage with colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues, opportunities. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives. Promote the organization locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general. Monitor what competitors are doing constantly. Customers Service Ensure customers are provided with exceptional service Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing relationships with potential and current customers and any other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Ensure all staff understand how to deal with customers in a polite and professional way. Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with efficiently and timeously. Ensure that customer digital and telephonic queries are dealt with quickly. Ensure that customer feedback is taken, and appropriate strategies and solutions are created. Customer feedback should be communicated to the appropriate department heads. HR Ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to. Recruitment and Selection of own workforce. Staff succession Planning. Rostering and Working hours to be planned efficiently. Maintain store staff performance by coaching and counseling employees. Monitor performance and appraise results. Complete store operational requirements by assigning employees and following up on results. Conduct staff meetings regularly Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent. Create a positive work environment where a culture of over achievement is fostered. Inventory Ensure stock orders are placed in a timely manner. Work with the procurement manager and data analyst to ensure that all stock KPIS are achieved Competitive pricing Constantly evolving product range Optimum stock levels Optimum GP% Optimum stock rotation Refer to KPI's for all points Work with data analyst to identify potential new products and ranges Ensure dead stock is avoided and identify clearance stock Identify, recommend, and implement systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets. Audit and investigate sources of known losses. Monitor inventory to identify theft or shortages. Investigate causes of damages and make sure appropriate preventative and disciplinary actions are taken Investigate suspicious customer and/or employee activity. Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent theft at point of sale, trading floor or inventory storage areas. Conduct and manage daily stock counts and investigates where necessary. Manage yearly stock counts. Work with company management and store staff to identify possible loopholes or weak points. Upskill company and store management to better deal with stock losses Create preventative measures whenever stock losses are identified. Stock counts are to be done in a timely manner and completed before the deadline. All investigations must be done effectively and returned as soon as possible. Store inventory should be packed, merchandised and labeled according to company standards Work with suppliers and relevant staff to bring in effective marketing displays for the store Monitor returns and ensure that any suspicious activity is investigated. Admin GRVS, Returns, IBT's, SPO's, etc. are to be created in a timely manner. Ensure all required admin is completed and sent to the Head Office before the deadline. Cash-ups to be checked thoroughly and any variances to be investigated immediately. All procedures for cash and credit accounts to be strictly followed. Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable Fleet Ensure that preventative maintenance is done Make sure vehicle exteriors are always kept in good condition. Maintain visuals of vehicle up to company standards. Ensure fleet is always legally compliant. Create backup plans for any possible disruptions that may occur. Make sure assistance is available 24/7 for the fleet. Make sure the group is utilizing fuel efficiently and reduce theft and abuse to a minimum. Maintain and manage instore tanks Manage all fuel accounts. Manage and maintain Onfleet delivery system Ensure drivers are conducting deliveries efficiently Ensure drivers provide great customer service. Ensure drivers are constantly upskilled. Ensure drivers comply with all road rules. Buildings and Security Maintain high Owner standards in all aspects of the store appearance, operation and safety at all times including, conducting and documenting monthly property inspections Supervise the building security Marketing and Media Work with media and marketing department to execute cost-effective, profit-enhancing marketing and consumer marketing programs including events. Engage and establish relationships with contractors and increase business venture Minimum Requirments Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Branch / Store / Area Manager Role 3 Years in the Hardware Retail Industry (ESSENTIAL) Grade 12 / Matric Personal Strong communicator Strong organisational abilities High level of confidentiality Deadline driven Self Starter Work in harmony with cross departments Salary (negotiable depending on experience, qualification and skill-set) Provident Fund Medical Aid Performance KPI Bonus Apply Now
