Breakfast Manager

Cape Town | On-site

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest hospitality standards within the Food and Beverage department during breakfast service. This includes offering consistent service and staff training, ensuring agreed standards remain consistent, and fostering continued guest engagement to provide memorable experiences.

As our Breakfast Manager, you will coordinate daily front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house restaurant operations, deliver superior service, and maximise customer satisfaction. You will also respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints, review product quality regularly, and report discrepancies.

Part of your role will be to organise and supervise shifts, appraise staff performance, and provide feedback. You will also estimate future needs for goods, equipment, and cleaning products and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

You will set up breakfast areas and buffet selection, manage the restaurants image, suggest improvements, control operational costs, and identify measures to cut waste. In addition, you will conduct stock takes, manage stock orders, and handle cash-ups and cash-handling procedures.

You have a Matric Certificate or equivalent and a relevant tertiary qualification with additional qualifications from institutions such as Cape Wine Academy or WSET. Along with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a 45-star hotel or up-market establishment, you have a demonstrated track record of leadership.

You are proficient in technology, including Micros/Speed Point machine, MS 365, Dineplan, and Opera, and have a strong F&B operational background, including rostering, trainee coordination and management, stock monitoring, recruitment and selection, and daily administration. You are flexible, have your own transport, and are willing to work shifts.
