We are currently recruiting for a talented and skilled Marketing and Business Development Executive in the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing Industry to join our Executive Management Team. You will undertake Strategic Marketing projects, identify new revenue opportunities and drive new customer growth. Your skills, talent and ambition will be driven by partnering with the Executive team to capitalize on opportunities for market expansion, increased profitability, and sustained success in a competitive business landscape Establish a business development unit to drive revenue through new business development opportunities in terms of the company's turnaround strategy. Responsible for developing a 3-to-5-year implementation plan to drive and increase revenue for the business. Responsible for developing a Marketing strategy according to trends and customer requirements for the company's sustainability. Responsible for the staffing of the business development unit. Conceive and develop efficient and intuitive marketing strategies to the Hospitality, Retail, e-Commerce, Exports industries to develop sustainable growth. Oversee the implementation of marketing strategies i.e. advertising, communication campaigns (TV, social media, radio, etc), exhibitions and promotional events. Develop and grow new business opportunities in both hospitality and retail in the SADC region; East and North Africa; the BRICS countries; Europe. Build on existing relationships to develop and grow new business opportunities for the company. Analysis the performance of the current products and formulate future business strategy accordingly. Present new category recommendations regularly to Sales Manager and Key Account Managers (financials, reasoning/trends, and plans). Keep abreast of industry trends and new product ideas in the local and international markets. Develop strategies based on financial plans (profitability targets, markup, and receipt flow) for current and future customers. Build strong relationships with current and new customers with locally and internationally. Forecasting business projections & trends, formulating result-oriented plans, setting and adherence to budgets/ objectives. Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery terms, and markdowns). Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness and competition ventures Responsible for the Initiation of control surveys to assess customer requirements and dedication Responsible for sign-off of copy for diverse marketing distributions (brochures, press releases, website material etc.) Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Textile Technology and Product business development. 10 years of proven track record in Development of new business and growth of current business. Proven track record in the Hospitality, Retail, e-Commerce, or Exports growth and new business development. Proven track record in Building strong long-lasting relationships with professionals at all organizational levels. Aptitude in identifying new areas for business growth and development. Ability to establish and maintain partnerships and provide thought leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of computer literacy Good business acumen with high degree of analytical skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines. Strong negotiation skills with ability to monitor and evaluate new opportunities in the industry.
