You thrive in a high-performance environment, are ethical, and enjoy being a team player who maintains high standards What you'll be doing In this role, you will strategically source materials, optimise material costs, maintain high-quality standards, and foster positive relationships with suppliers. You will be integral to ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process that aligns with the company's overall business strategy and objectives. Your responsibilities will include buying electrical and lighting materials, managing contracts and suppliers, understanding tender and commercial requirements, and complying with procurement legislation. You will also conduct market analysis to support the procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices. What you'll need To succeed in this role, you should have a Matric Certificate and a Supply Chain Management Certificate is advantageous. You must have 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field, preferably with proven purchasing experience within an electrical distribution, supplier, or manufacturing environment. Experience with electrical and lighting materials, compliance with procurement legislation, and strong market knowledge in the industry are essential. You should be proficient in using Excel, Outlook, Word, MS Project, Buildsmart, and Envisage. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a timeline-driven environment, and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are crucial.
