- No formal chef training is required but one needs to be a keen and passionate chef
- Must have 2-3 years of previous working experience in a similar role
- Have knowledge of stock, ordering, stock control and the operation of a kitchen
- Must be an all-rounder that will stand in whenever the other managers are on their week off each month
- Must be able to work under pressure and work well within a small team
- Strong creativity and passion for culinary arts and modern cooking techniques (advantage)
- Great attention to detail and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control
- Excellent time management skills
- Minimum FGASA NQF2 qualification
- Valid PrDP, First Aid, Rifle Competency, NDT Registered
- Previous experience within a luxury lodge environment
- Experience in game drives and all guests-related events such as hosting dinners
- Enthusiastic and an all-rounder
- Passion for the bush and the Hospitality industry
- Assisting in/ and around the lodge
- Experience in maintenance and garden supervision including large solar system operation, electric fence monitoring, water reticulation and general repairs and maintenance.
- Vehicle management, including scheduling of servicing, licencing etc.
