The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity of developing a trading desk and be responsible for managing retail programs in upcoming markets.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in strategic markets
Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to ensure effective product positioning
Pro-active driving and negotiating to ensure optimum results w.r.t price, sales and service delivery
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve defined objectives
Build and manage relationships with producers, service providers, receivers and colleagues
Diligent management of information and relevant administration

Requirements:

An appropriate tertiary qualification
Previous relevant experience (selling of fresh fruit)
Knowledge and insight w.r.t. the fruit industry and networks
A confident, energetic, and dynamic personality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people (groups and individuals) on all levels
Good negotiation skills
High levels of emotional intelligence
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Adaptability and ability to manage change
Very good language skills (English and Afrikaans)
