Reference: JHB001079-VM-1 Well known global supplier or energy equipment requires a Contracts Manager for the Johannesburg North branch. The incumbent will assume responsibility for the successful project management of a portfolio of electrical engineering infrastructure projects. This includes the execution and management of all contract phases from inception and planning; through to commissioning and hand over; whilst working within the designated timelines and budget. Electrical Diploma / Degree and relevant experience is essential The specific duties of the position include the following: Determine project pricing and prepare tender documentation. Contract negotiation and management. Customer liaison and compiling project reports. Management and co-ordination of project teams, suppliers and subcontractors. Project and resource planning and maintaining of up-to-date planning programmes. Contract budgeting and cost control reporting. Invoicing and cash flow forecasting. Co-ordination and supervision of design work, construction and commissioning of projects. Enforcing health, safety and environmental standards and legislation. Implementation of ISO 9001 quality standards. Management of project empowerment targets. Project close-out and final documentation submittals. Performing any other ancillary duties that may be reasonably expected, as and when required The ideal candidate should have exposure to the following: A recognised tertiary electrical engineering or commercial qualification. Exposure to the electrical engineering industry and, in particular, substation related work. Commercial expedience. Computer literacy and competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Projects.
