Our client, a leading international EPC, is seeking a highly experienced EPC Contract Manager for the construction of a 400MW solar and BESS installation in the Northern Cape. This is a 24-month fixed-term position based in Johannesburg with frequent travel to site. KPA's: Review the terms and conditions and contract provisions in the tender documents. Provide a contract summary of the major provisions in the tender. Assist in assessing contract risks and in providing mitigation plans. Provide a list of risks, proposed deviations, and qualifications from the tender documents. Liaise with the insurance and finance departments to review provisions of insurance, funding, and bonds. Review and prepare agreements such as NDAs, MOUs, and pre-tender agreements. Prepare specific terms and conditions for each project, including flow-down provisions from the prime contract and any agreed deviations with subcontractors and vendors. Review, negotiate, and conclude any qualifications or deviations raised by bidders for subcontracts and POs. Compile the subcontract and PO for the awarded bidder. Draft letters and notices, and manage correspondence. Prepare variations and statements of claims, including contemporary records and supporting documents. Attend meetings with clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers. Assist the department in reviewing and resolving disputes. Understand the technical disciplines related to the industry. Have knowledge of construction activities to assess the consequential associated risks. Possess hands-on skills in using the latest MS Office, Word, and Excel. This position requires frequent travel to the site. Requirements: Engineering Degree or similar 10 - 15 years' experience in Contracts and Subcontracts administration for an EPC/Contractor Company, preferably with generation project experience
