Sustained business growth has led to challenging opportunities in our Construction division for: Civil Works Contracts Manager The main purpose of the job of a Concrete Contracts Manager is to oversee and manage all aspects of concrete-related contracts within civil engineering projects. This senior role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that concrete works meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include tendering, budgeting, and scheduling of concrete works, as well as overseeing procurement, logistics, and resource allocation. Concrete Contracts Managers also play a key role in risk assessment and mitigation, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Their expertise in concrete technology, project management, and contract administration ensures the successful execution of concrete works, contributing to the overall success of civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Translate organizational strategies into actionable plans at the site level. Ensure efficient project planning, resource management, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Manage contractual obligations, legal compliance, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and project risks. Optimize the utilization and application of technology, equipment, and materials to improve project efficiency. Contribute to the tendering or negotiation process and identify innovative methods to obtain work. Manage project budgets, cash flow, cost control systems, and financial reporting. Develop and manage human resources, including manpower planning, staff selection, placement, evaluation, development, and training. Continuously improve personal and professional skills and capabilities through ongoing learning and development. Qualifications and Experience: Professional registration as a Construction Manager and a Degree and/or diploma in the Construction Environment. 10 years' experience as a direct Site Manager/Site Agent. Strong knowledge of legislative requirements, contract management, health and safety regulations, and risk management. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Concrete Mix Design, Concrete Production, Reinforced Concrete Design, Techniques, Testing and Quality Assurance. Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational management abilities. Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Commitment to personal and professional development.
