Responsible to coordinate, supervise, support and administer the Human Resource function on site. Assist line management and employees with guidance and direction in respect of all people management processes, policies and procedures. Acts as a consultant to line management regarding the implementation of all people management processes and applicable Labour Legislation. Ensures co-ordination of succession management, performance management and talent development activities timeously and accurately as per project requirements. Ensures effective individual development plans are a by-product of the performance and succession management activities within the business Act as Client liaison: act as Company Representative with Client on all HR related matters Ensure continuous improvement towards workplace transformation in line with best practice, Recruitment Policy provisions, Employment Equity Plans and Company Objectives Build effective relationships with Community through local community forums Responsible for the management of an effective Human Resource Administration and Support function on site Ensure effective coordination and execution of workforce planning, recruitment, selection, probation, change of status and exit processes. Manage medical entry, renewal, exit and induction processes. Generate monthly and Ad Hoc HR reports. Monitor trends such as staff turnover, absenteeism and alert/advice line management of any problem areas. Assist to develop and implement HR Initiatives to address HR/people related challenges. Maintain a logical, accurate, up to date record keeping and filing system. Ensure effective management of EE compliance with regards to all legislation and statutory requirements (establish site EE & SD committee & facilitate EE/SD meetings) Managing Industrial/Employee Relations on site: disciplinary processes, grievances, complaints, Union representative meetings, etc. Implementation of HR policies and procedures, and monitoring compliance. Maintain the combined site organogram. Oversee Symplexity payroll system on site and ensure that payroll information is accurate and that deadlines are adhered to. Generate electronic Payroll Reports. Management of the relevant HRIS for analyzing and interpreting people data, which is used as input for business decisions Supervise, coach, mentor and develop HR Department employees ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant Bachelor's degree / National Diploma in Human Resources or Human Sciences field Post graduate program completed in advanced Labour Law (advantageous) EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years' related work (HR) experience, of which at least 3 years should be in a supervisory level role, in a mining environment. Must have comprehensive experience in dealing with Employee Relations, Trade Unions and labour disputes (CCMA cases)
