The ideal candidate will be diesel trade tested, have previous industry experience, and thrive in a dealership workshop environment. Holding a Code 14 licence will be a distinct advantage. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the workshop. Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics and technicians. Ensure that all repair and maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards. Allocate jobs to workshop staff based on their skills and workload. Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and parts used. Liaise with customers to provide updates on work progress and address any concerns. Train and mentor workshop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Diesel trade tested with a valid certification. Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the commercial truck industry. Previous experience in a dealership workshop environment is essential. Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and commercial truck systems. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and workshop management software. Valid Code 14 licence is an advantage.
