Position Objectives The Campaign Manager is responsible for building and managing the annual, quarterly, and monthly campaign plans to deliver integrated sales and financial objectives (driving sales growth and delivering on margin targets), through an effective implementation of the Campaign Planning Schedule & process. The direct output is a sales brochure and a strong integrated campaign. pecific Accountabilities Annual, quarterly, and monthly campaign plans to deliver integrated sales and financial objectives Set, in conjunction with Marketing Manager and Marketing Director, the annual and quarterly category targets; Set monthly campaign targets with Finance (budget/forecast) and balance campaigns from a category mix, net sales, units, margin, and average order perspective to deliver the annual sales and gross profit budget; Lead the quarterly planning process, to deliver sales, units, and margin plans; Collating learnings from previous campaigns, analysing and refining data to update and utilize in future campaign plans; Ensure that all sales calendars are developed, communicated, and approved in a timely manner; Manages product category gross profit margins to deliver overall business margin targets; and Tracks and analyses campaigns, and marketing KPI's. Continuous monitoring, analysis, and measurement of campaign results Responsible for reviewing campaign trend reports and producing effective business commentary; Responsible for preparing contingency/corrective plans based on trend report; Accountable contingency plan-briefing and execution of the plan; and Tracking and analysis of campaigns. Ensure Inventory contribution per campaign is maintained, and excess and expiring is identified and action plans produced Develop, with Category Managers, a plan to reduce inventory and achieve planned Inventory targets; Monitor inventory levels and ensure that suitable inventory disposal plans are being implemented; Identify risk on stock going forward & propose risk mitigation plans to ensure campaign plans are delivered on time and in full. Review updates for the monthly Inventory Meetings (chaired by Finance) and ensure all discussion points for both campaign and category are actioned; Review recommendations made by Category & Marketing Manager regarding items to be discontinued; align the activity to facilitate the clearance and gap closing options. Manage the Campaign Planning Schedule & Process Prepare and manage a campaign planning schedule, ensuring the marketing team remain on schedule and aligned to sales and promotions teams; Prepare the data for the packs and participate in the campaign reviews; Prepare and present monthly campaign packs to be signed off by the Executive Team; Prepare the data for the monthly post campaign reviews vs plan and prior year with support from the Campaign Planners. To develop and review the Sales Brochure Ensuring sales forecast estimates are reflecting the merchandising, activation, and creative focus in the brochure; Accountable for communicating all forecasting changes to demand planning; Ensuring sufficient stock available for all the products in the pack; Review the monthly paginations for the brochure; brochure guidelines and campaign themes; Accountable for consolidating the brochure briefs and creating briefs for multi category spreads; Responsible to attend and participate in the creative brief and creative reviews; Responsible for reviewing brochure and ensuring it meets campaign brief and objectives; Responsible for the final check of the campaign vs pack. Implementation of Pricing Strategies Determine and implement pricing strategy and changes, together with the Marketing Manager. Determine and implement pricing strategy and changes in terms of ecommerce, together with the Marketing Manager Analysis Monitor daily stock sales and inventory, including stock availability to ensure product supply and highlight potential risks to the Category Planner; Support the Campaign Planners with preparing contingency plans based on the observed trend report; Forecasting Collaborate with the demand team to make sure that forecasting, inventory; financial indicators; and sales target are met on a monthly basis; Analyse trends and merchandising techniques and ensure the demand planning team considers these points to improve forecasting accuracy and achieve campaign deliverables. Refine new planning and forecasting tool to ensure meets requirements of business People Management To effectively and promptly performance manage staff ensuring an initiative-taking and effective team; developing the skills, knowledge and competencies of each team member.
