dhk is looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join our busy and dynamic Urban Design team in Cape Town, working on projects across SA and internationally (in Europe, Middle East, and across Africa). It leads the design of a building, rather than being a belated add-on once the building concept has been defined. Requirements At least 5 years of post-graduate experience in urban design Experience in and passion for urban design and able to manage complex urban design projects across a range of scales. Experience in client liaison, consultant coordination, and a demonstrated ability to manage projects. You should be a self-motivated, highly organised person with strong design capabilities, drawing and graphic ability, project coordination and report writing skills to work on our broad range of urban design projects. You should be able to learn new programmes quickly with a demonstrated literacy in standard industry software including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Suite is essential. Candidates must be eligible to work in South Africa An Urban design qualification and/or registration with SACAP and/or UDISA would be an advantage.
