Currently, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team and contribute to the optimal performance of our operations. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. From trucks to heavy machinery, your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our fleet, contributing to the efficiency and success of our operations. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections on vehicles and equipment. Rebuild engines and perform overhauls as needed. Work with hand and power tools to complete repairs efficiently. Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience. N3 Technical Certificate and Grade 12 qualification. Extensive experience working with various types of vehicles and equipment. Competency in reading electrical and hydraulic drawings. Knowledge of electrical fault finding, hydraulics, air brakes, and transmissions. Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a high level of hand-eye coordination and reaction speed. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Skills & Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication & report writing skills. Ability to work independently & as part of a team. Planning/Organisational skills. Aptitude for learning & adapting to new technologies and processes. Market Related
