Our client in The Netherlands is looking for Red Seal Trade Tested Diesel Mechanics looking to relocate with a valid South African passport . They are offering a 2-year working visa, good earnings, flights, furnished accommodation etc. for those candidates who are successful. We are ideally looking for candidates who can speak basic Dutch / or fluent Afrikaans (and willing to learn Dutch). Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines. Conduct thorough inspections to pinpoint problems with various engine components. Perform repairs on diesel engines, including rebuilding or overhauling engines when necessary. Replace or repair components such as pistons, bearings, crankshafts, and cylinder heads. Inspect, clean, and repair fuel injection systems. Check and adjust fuel pumps and injectors for optimal performance. Inspect and repair air intake and exhaust systems. Replace and repair components such as turbochargers and intercoolers. Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to the engine, such as starters, alternators, and wiring. Test and replace batteries as needed. Inspect and maintain the cooling system, including radiators, water pumps, and hoses. Address issues related to overheating. Diagnose and repair issues with transmissions and drivetrain components. Perform routine maintenance on transmissions, including fluid changes. Inspect and repair brake systems, including air brakes. Replace brake components such as pads, drums, and valves. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Create and follow maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns. Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Document parts used and maintain an inventory of supplies. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance. Identify and address safety concerns related to the equipment. Respond to service calls for breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary. Assess and address issues to get vehicles back on the road promptly. Red Seal Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic. At least 2 years experience in relevant trade. Knowledge of the standard practices of the trade, tools/equipment used, and proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
