Our in-house creative team develops and upholds the design requirements for the groups' brand portfolio. We are involved in directing the development and roll out of brand and corporate-level identity and marketing messaging, intellectual property, and presentation of creative outputs. We set the brand standards across all the brands and act as creative custodians and creative center of excellence, to maintain the visual language and creative integrity of the brands. Our team works collaboratively as part of our in-house Marketing Department across stakeholder groups. We are responsible for the majority of below the line requirements for our respective brands. We understand the challenges of our franchisees in their businesses and use our well-honed problem-solving skills to deliver thoughtfully crafted creative solutions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Digital design across various platforms: social media, aggregator, websites, digital asset management repository, etc. b) Assist the Creative Team Lead with conceptualisation and creation of key content pieces, job reviews, quarterly reporting and creative presentations. c) Lead and support direct reports to ensure delivery on brand objectives and daily output requirements. d) Collaborate with copywriters on social content and strategies. e) Design and deliver digital content in the required state for upload and dissemination. f) Collaborate with the digital team, to design HTML e-mailers and SMS's as required. g) Perform CMS changes on web-sites and Mobi sites if required. h) Design digital banners in HTML compatible with web and mobile devices. i) Maintain the high visual standards of the Group Creative Head and the marketing department as a whole and to assist others in maintaining this standard. j) Work closely with Traffic and Production to ensure systems are functioning smoothly (effective work delegation, problem solving or reporting issues). k) Work closely with brand managers (client) to ensure they have the necessary information to advise franchisees as well as ensuring briefing systems are being adhered to. l) Conduct line management tasks related to HR admin and performance assessments of the digital creative team and report back to the Creative leadership Team. 3) Teamwork: a) Assist the Creative Team Lead to enhance the reputation of the studio by working constructively, consistently and with creative flair. b) Work in collaboration with the Creative Team Lead, the Group Creative Head of studio, Traffic Manager, Production Manager, Designers and Clients to ensure that the requirements of the brief are met in a timely manner. c) Take responsibility for timelines of agreed deliverables (own and subordinates) and the quality of their output by consulting as and when required. d) Work with other staff from the design team and brand team to develop concepts ready for client presentation. e) Use conceptual and analytical skills to interpret verbal or written briefs and make accurate creative and production decisions to solve the brief requirements. f) Develop and visualize material based on a broad view of criteria, strategy, financial constraints, and 2 other challenges determined by the brief. g) Communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. h) Maintain an archiving and cataloguing process of all material worked on for others to easily access. i) Strict adherence to company philosophy, mission statement, vision and values. j) Good interpersonal skills and communication with management and subordinates. 4) Leadership Skills: Self-awareness, respect, compassion, and a desire to build and grow people, coupled with strong leadership acumen are non-negotiable. A good understanding of interpersonal relationships to navigate team dynamics will position the candidate well in our diverse multifaceted Marketing team. Understanding roles and functions of a creative/marketing team will further lend support in the effective everyday functioning of a studio.
