Main duties/responsibilities: Serve as a backup driver for scheduled routes in the event of primary driver unavailability or emergencies. Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and other transportation equipment, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods onto trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly. After every delivery the truck must be washed before loading new stock. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical challenges. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Follow established procedures for handling and documenting any incidents or accidents on the road. Uphold high standards of customer service by delivering goods promptly and courteously. Requirements Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license with a clean driving record. Valid PDP as you will have a assistant with you in the truck. Must stay close to factory in Kraaifontein Industria. Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role, preferably in meat industry Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Good physical condition, able to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
