We are currently recruiting for Extra Heavy Duty Drivers to join our dynamic team. Job Role: To responsibly perform professional driver duties safely, accurately, and timeously. Ensure safe and secure operation of Company vehicles and assets when conducting deliveries. Check all documents before, during and after deliveries. Check all goods with receiving staff and assist during the offloading process when requested. Deliver goods to stores safely, accurately, and according to planned times. Conduct pre-trip and post trip vehicle inspections and report defects to Management. Operate a tail lift, fridges, tautliner curtains, shoring bars, coupling, and uncoupling as well as monitor the offloading and loading of stock. Check store damages (claims), returns, assets, recycling loaded back from stores and ensure that the load is secured in the trailer to avoid further damages. Ensure that all relevant documents are completed correctly, stamped, and signed. Ensure toll cards are returned and refuel the truck after every delivery. Achieve set targets in Driver Performance and Housekeeping Standards. Comply with all safety practices, policies, and processes. Valid code 14 driver's license and PRDP. 3-5 years truck driving experience. Product and warehouse systems knowledge. Must be flexible, dependable, committed, and able to travel long distance. Own transport essential. Knowledge of Cold Chain Management systems. Experience in driving Superlink / Inter-link combination advantageous.
