Key Responsibilities: ▫ Engineering Support: Provide operations, service, and sales departments with expert engineering support. ▫ Product Evaluation: Understand the optimal design applications and limitations of standard products and lead the evaluation of alternate products. ▫ Solar System Development: Create plans for developing, monitoring, and evaluating solar electrical systems. ▫ Solar PV Design: Design and engineer solar PV systems by conducting site assessments, energy production analyses, and developing system layouts, electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), and component specifications to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry standards. ▫ Familiarity with PV Sol and Homer software is a must. ▫ System Configuration: Determine system size, configuration, and component selection based on customer needs and site conditions. ▫ Project Documentation: Prepare and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ's) and Bills of Materials (BOM's) for projects, along with detailed technical documents, system specifications, design calculations, and drawings. ▫ Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local, regional, and national codes, standards, and regulations related to solar PV system design and installation. ▫ Ensure all designs and installations adhere to safety guidelines and obtain necessary permits and certifications. ▫ Quality Assurance: Develop quality assurance procedures to verify the accuracy and integrity of solar PV system designs. Conduct inspections and audits during installation and commissioning to ensure adherence to design specifications.
