Engineering company specialising in the supply, maintenance and project management of Power Generation Systems and associated products seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer based at our works in Durban. Main Functions would entail: Tendering, System design/drafting, Project Management, electrical installations, testing and commissioning. To maintain, develop and provide a specialized service in respect of power generation control & protection systems BSc Electrical Engineering / B Tech: Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 4 years post qualifying experience in power generation control or electrical protection. • Knowledge on governing and excitation systems • Generator or MV protection relay related experience • MV Switchgear related experience (Retrofit Installations) • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCad, MSProjects an advantage • Ability to understand, read and design engineering schematics • Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Sound judgment, reasoning and decision-making skills • Effective resource utilization and team management skills • Valid wireman's license(Registration) - SABS 10142 Code of Practice (Advantageous) • ECSA Registered (Advantageous) • Min. 4 years related industry experience • Must be willing to travel BSc Electrical Engineering / B Tech: Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 4 years post qualifying experience in power generation control or electrical protection.
