Electrical Lead Engineer - Pretoria
Job Description:
Lead and cultivate an electrical design team to boost performance and teamwork
Forge strong customer relationships to optimize the allocation of design resources
Delegate responsibilities, oversee project timelines, and manage deviations effectively
Offer technical direction and ensure designs meet all specifications and standards
Coordinate and lead both internal and external design reviews
Execute CAD design tasks, manage precise product data, and support custom engineering requests
Oversee administrative functions, including conducting performance reviews and providing mentorship
Achieve team objectives, foster high employee satisfaction, and garner positive customer feedback
Meet project deadlines, minimize design issues, and enhance resource efficiency
Ensure timely and accurate CAD design output while implementing successful mentorship and training programs
Pursue leadership development and continuous improvement in engineering methodologies
Skills & Experience:
8 to 10 years of experience in engineering design, ideally with a focus on wiring design and controller integration in the automotive electrical sector
Willing to undertake international travel for varying periods as needed by projects
Perform CAD design duties, including 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation
Maintain accurate product data within customer PDM systems
Qualification:
BEng, BSc or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
