This is a Field Technician vacancy for an Electronic Technician working specifically on Radio Frequency Communication systems in the mining industry. Travel to National and International mines will be involved. - Maintain Super High Frequency(SHF 5.8Ghz) and Low Frequency(LF 2Mhz) communication systems down mineshafts. - Commissioning of Radio Frequency (RF) Communication systems down mineshafts. - The Mining Winders (Man, Service and Rock) are audited on separate days respectively to determine the extent of enhancement. - Maintain the Escort Winder Brake intervention system. - Maintain the Call / Lock Bell communication system. - These Safety Technical systems are maintained by fault finding and replacement of electronic components where necessary. - Computer Networking skill is necessary to enhance Radio Frequency communication between various electronic systems. - Minimum of two weeks Standby are reserved by technicians owing to breakdown callouts that occur outside the normal working hours and during weekends - Electronic Engineering qualification - Valid Driver's licence - Read block diagrams and mechanical wiring diagrams - Understand Radio Frequency(RF) signal and process methodology - Read and understand the components of Printed Circuit Boards(PCB) - Clear credit and criminal records R350 000 - R400 000
