Company based in Cape Town, Western Cape is looking for an Industrial Designer to join their team. Requirements: Must have Diploma / degree – Industrial Design. Proficiency in SolidWorks Strong background in engineering design Ability to create and manage product specifications Proficiency in creating detailed engineering drawings Experience in prototype development Knowledge of quality assurance processes Ability to collaborate across different functions within the organization Proficiency in project management Experience in coordinating with suppliers Ability to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges Proficient in creating technical documentation Understanding of the Point-of-sale industry and its requirements. Responsibilities : Develop innovative Engineering Solutions for costings, samples and production Produce detailed product specifications and engineering drawings for each project. Design and develop prototypes and first-off production samples to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Work closely with Project Managers, Product Designers, and Suppliers to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct quality checks and ensure that all engineering outputs adhere to the required specifications and standards. Suitable candidate needs to be Open-minded, adaptable, innovative, committed with emotional maturity.
