The Engineering Manager Systems and Projects is responsible for managing the engineering team, including the drawing office, system design and integration engineers, project engineers and quality controllers.

Responsibilities:

Selects, coaches, and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.
Manages organisational talent through performance management, succession planning and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered and performance is systematically improved.
Along with the sales team ensure that proposals meet customer performance needs and expectations, orders are placed correctly, and scope is defined from a technical perspective, projects or orders are delivered accurately according to order specifications and scope.
Client interfacing and stakeholder management, approval of designs and drawings.
Interface with product development engineer relating to product performance and improvement .
Lead and manage a team that will be responsible for:

Design, Installation and commissioning of Lithium Battery and battery inverter systems.
Development of lithium battery to inverter interface.
Testing performance of batteries and advanced troubleshooting.
BMS development with the BMS designer.
Support technical support team with offsite repairs where needed. Ensure availability of materials and team members to carry out the repairs.
Develop code for interfacing solutions between various battery inverters and PV inverters and plant controllers.
Complete electrical and layout drawings for projects.
Project engineering and management.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years working experience as an Engineering Manager or a manager in an engineering role.
Fundamental understanding of Renewable energy.
Experience in installation and programming of inverters.
Experience in CAD software.
Basic Knowledge of Occupational Health and safety.
Knowledge of Electrical design codes and standards.
Knowledge of Coding in C, C++, PLC programming.
Knowledge of Electrical reticulation design.
Knowledge of MV switchgear and protection.
In-depth knowledge of high voltage design and applications.
