Engineering Manager - Coal Mining Industry - Mkhondo

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our client's team in the coal mining industry. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient performance of the mining projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve processes, and optimize the use of resources. Responsibilities: Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support Plan and coordinate engineering activities to meet project objectives within budget and timeline Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all engineering operations Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of mining infrastructure and equipment Monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions Manage budgets, resources, and procurement activities related to engineering projects Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology Requirements Diploma or B degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering Qualified GCC (Mines and Works) Engineer Driver’s license Computer efficient with experience in engineering programmes At least 8 years’ experience in a similar position in the mining industry Demonstrated knowledge of mining operations, regulations, and best practices Experience in managing large-scale mining projects Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment Benefits Salary: Negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
