Ref: CBU 416148 - CIVILS ESTIMATOR Employer Description Our client is a medium size company specializing in roadworks & civil infrastructure but is also venturing into other construction projects Job Description You will: Accurately prepare cost estimates for roads and earthworks projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs. Develop comprehensive bid proposals and tender submissions, ensuring all client requirements and specifications are met. Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets and improve profitability. Review project plans, specifications, and other technical documents to determine project scope and requirements. Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate and complete estimates. Develop project schedules and timelines, ensuring alignment with cost estimates and project goals. Maintain detailed and organized records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to clarify project requirements and provide updates on estimates and bids. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in estimating techniques to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process. Qualifications Degree/BTech/ Diploma (QS or Civil Eng) Skills Approximately 5 - 10 years of experience in estimating of civils projects.
