The primary objective shall be to manage and oversee the manufacturing process within the Fabrication Department and to ensure that the production line and department runs reliably, effectively and profitably by meeting manufacturing and promised delivery dates. Working with Management and Supervisors to ensure that products are manufactured to the company quality standards and adhere to safety and related regulations. Responsibilities include production planning, organizing, cost estimation, negotiating, and agreeing to production budgets and work time frames. Ensure that the production of the Prescribed goods is manufactured effectively, accurately, speedily and cost effectively and within promised delivery dates. Overseeing the Technical Officer who is responsible for the opening of “new” Bills of Material, Costings and Raw Material Codes in Pastel Partner Manufacturing, and thereafter making the necessary copies of the Bills of Materials. Editing Bills of Material and manufacturing goods in Pastel Partner Manufacturing in preparation for invoicing. Oversee the Technical officer in the creation / recording of drawings and templates of items associated for the implementation of production. Oversee the effective planning, running and regular maintenance of the Laser Cutter. Delegate to the Production Assistant Manager & Team Leader so that they can effectively and without supervision continue with production in every aspect. Should it be necessary, train staff who will be able to effectively fabricate filtration products Matric Certificate. Certificate or a Diploma in Production Management, Operations Management, Project Management or similar. A minimum of 3 (three) years' experience in Manufacturing. Technical knowledge in drawing - Autocad Experience in the Filtration Industry, Textile Industry, Mining / Heavy Industry will be an added advantage. Computer Literate i.e., Ms Word, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet, Pastel Accounting for Stock Management, Fenya or Experdite will be an advantage. Good Financial understanding of figures, costings, and calculations. Work may require some local travel; thus, a valid driver's license is essential with own car. Ability to run production machinery, generators etc. Market related CTC package, depend on experience
