Phakisa Holdings is looking for Fettlers in Benoni area Surface Finishing: Remove excess material, such as burrs, flash, and rough edges from metal or other components. Smooth surfaces using hand tools, grinding machines, or other finishing equipment. Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. Tool and Equipment Operation: Operate various hand tools and machinery, including grinders, sanders, and polishers. Adjust equipment settings and maintain tools to ensure optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed. Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished components to ensure they meet required dimensions and tolerances. Document and report any defects or deviations from specifications to the supervisor. Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues and implement improvements. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risks. Adhere to environmental regulations related to waste disposal and handling of materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to meet production targets and deadlines. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task. Report any inventory needs or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Proficiency in using hand tools and finishing equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Understanding of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in fettling, metalworking, or a similar role is preferred. 2 -3 Experience in Engineering industry Must have Matric/Grade12 R65 Per Hour Apply Now
