Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Reports to: The Service Manager Department: Service ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Main responsibilities for this position are as follows: Field Service repairs to CNC, LASER, WIRE EDM, ROBOT and Injection Moulding machines Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on products Maintain & strengthen relationships with existing customers Grow existing business ? Through the identification of opportunities at existing customers ? Through the understanding of new applications with new technologies that are currently available Assist in bi-annual stock-take Regular measurements will be conducted and will be based on: Monthly budget – The budget is set out by the Service manager together with management and the overseas head office. Performance against this budget will be measured, depending on actual market conditions. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Customers – on all levels • Service Manager • Finance Department • Managing Director Qualifications: National Diploma Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics (S41yr practical) Or Bachelors Degree in one of the following fields: Electrical/Electronic Engineering • Mechanical Engineering • Mechatronic Engineering Or Qualified Electrician/Millright. At least N6 Electrical/Electronic Engineering certificate from a recognised technical college. EXPERIENCE: Technical experience on CNC machines are a must. (electrical/electronic/mechanical/troubleshooting) Knowledge of CNC machines are a must. Knowledge of automated robotic arms are beneficial but not essential. PLC/ladder experience (Read and understand only). Knowledge of general factory automation would be an added advantage. Candidate must be computer literate. Ability to use various electrical/electronic measuring instruments (digital multimeter, insulation resistance meter, oscilloscope) LANGUAGE SKILLS: English(speak, read & write) WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position requires that work be conducted at customers premises in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa (from time to time). Ability to work overtime and flexible hours when required. Ability to work under stress. Ability to work in noisy and dirty environments. Ability to multi-task
