The main purpose of this position is to provide the business area with timeous, valid, accurate and complete operational and financial information in support of supply chain excellence. Responsibilities include: Reporting of valid, accurate and complete weekly/monthly financial flash in line with the business unit capacity and operational plans Assisting the General Manager to compile and manage the budget of the business unit Ensuring that all expense and income categories are managed and controlled to meet flexed budget parameters and ensure prior approval of overspend Compiling the monthly forecast for the business unit inclusive of detailed action plans to mitigate any targets on income and expense ratios forecasts Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations timeously with no long outstanding reconciling items Implementing, managing, and reporting on the business unit financial scorecard on a weekly basis Managing risk in the business unit / Distribution Centre (DC) Managing the financial aspects of contracts to meet budget parameters Ensuring that the return on investment and return on assets are maximized Building relationships with external & internal stakeholders Integrating with all stakeholders to influence, agree and deliver integrated plans and ensure operational efficiencies & continuous improvement Building, developing and entrenching a high-performance culture within the Finance and Admin team by providing leadership, guidance, support, and hands-on coaching to the team Implementing Financial controls Controlling the capex spend for the business area against budget and compiling business cases in line with requirements for submission to investment committee where capex is required for strategic investment Demonstrating effective leadership to ensure delivery of the Supply Chain Strategy Delivering operational efficiencies through continuous improvement Requirements: B. Com Accounting Degree 5 - 8yrs experience in finance at appropriate level CIMA / CA (SA) Qualification will be advantageous Experience in a Supply Chain / Manufacturing environment and a deep understanding of cost control Knowledge of how to manage financial reconciliations Understand - revenue and cost relationships and is able to translate this into flexible budgets Apply Now
