Reference: JHB007234-CW-1Large integrated single-site precious metals refining and smelting complex, based in Johannesburg, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. The team is young and dynamic. A fantastic growth/ succession planning opportunity. The purpose of this position is to assist in the processing and recording of income, expenses and bank accountsQualifications/ experience: A completed Matric qualification. BCom. Management Accounting/ similar with at least 2 years’ experience in the Financial Accounting field. Business knowledge—good understanding of company business, policies and procedures Knowledge of Financial Accounting—Fundamental Accounting Concepts & Principles, Management Accounts reporting (income statement only), implement internal controls and adherence. IFRS and South African Tax Legislation knowledge—know the requirements of these legislations. Applies technical and specialist financial knowledge in interpreting financial information for ad hoc projects. Assist with accounting functions. SAP experience advantageous — SAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills to extract and manipulate data to achieve requirements. SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Provide daily updates of sales and stock working papers Clearing of incoming USD payments for sales Issuing of Transfer documents when necessary Timeously processing of creditors invoices on the system Daily loading of USD and ZAR payments Monthly reconciliations of accounts applicable Month-end and ad hoc journals Preparation of cash and bank estimates daily in conjunction with treasury operations Regular processing of invoicing for products, transport, shipping, and sundry Month-end closing by processing backdated payments appropriately Completion of close-outs from audit findings. Ensure that procedures are reviewed and kept up to date annually Submission of completed and accurate year end schedules. Daily review of bank accounts for correctness and correct bank balances Daily completion of cash and bank actuals in line with bank statement entries R560 000 - Annually
