Financial Accountant - Ysterplaat
A fantastic opportunity is available for a Financial Accountant for a 6-month fixed term contract. You will join a dynamic, diverse team dedicated to delivering accurate, timely financial reports. You will handle accounting, reconciliations, and reporting for the various related entities. Responsibilities:
- Reconcile data imported
- Match all open items in vendors and customers
- Investigate anomalies and open items timeously
- Calculate monthly outsource fees and rebates
- Post accruals, and prepayments
- Assist with the analysis of expenses
- Assist with the preparation of monthly income statement files
- Post all intercompany and intergroup billing
- Responsible for fixed asset reporting and recons
- Trial balance management of all entities.
- Preparation of monthly income statement with relevant commentary.
- Prepare audit files
- Ensure all controls are adhered to, documented, and implemented for SOX compliance
- Evidence of corporate tax and VAT calculations
- Prepare all related reporting for annual returns, regulatory reports
- Reconciliation of all VAT and tax vendors and matching
- Manage funds, assets management and cash flow
Requirements:
- BCom financial accounting degree or related qualification and Articles
- Minimum 5 years post-Articles experience in a similar role
- MS Office and MS Excel Advanced skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision/Business Central/FloQast/IBM Planning Analytics/TM1/Cognos (advantageous)
