Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a 6 month contract basis. Responsibilities include: Releasing payments Preparing VAT returns for specific entities Preparing for year end audit for specific entities Preparing cash management daily bank balance sheet Preparing the weekly stats Preparing Cash management interest calculation Preparing the motor vehicle insurance renewal calculation Reviewing monthly accounts and investigating variances to budget Reviewing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts Reviewing annual financial statements of specific entities Reviewing budgets for specific entities Assisting with preparing Group consolidated budgets Assisting with the preparation of Group consolidated audit results Assisting with preparing monthly Group management accounts Compiling information of the Corporate Social Investments for BEE purposes Assist with preparing the Dividend, Provisional and final tax returns Assist with managing bank accounts Assisting with the preparation of BEE reviews and audits Assisting with insurance renewal calculations Assisting with maintaining company secretarial documents Assisting with statutory submissions e.g. CIPC returns Maintaining effective financial controls Contributing to the daily functioning of the finance team and its performance Assisting the Financial Executive with ad hoc assignments Requirements: Relevant Accounting degree/qualification Minimum 3-5 years' experience Be highly computer literate (Excel)
