This is an exciting opportunity for you OVERALL PURPOSE As the Financial Accounting Manager, reporting directly to the Group Head of Financial Reporting, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the accurate and timely month-end close process for all entities in the Group. Your role will be crucial in preparing and reviewing regulatory returns, VAT and tax calculations, and providing essential financial information to business functions, enabling informed budgeting and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Ensure high-quality financial outputs from your team Perform bank reconciliations weekly and monthly Liaise with accounts payable and billing teams for accurate financial records Provide technical guidance on complex accounting transactions (e.g., IFRS 9 and 16) Review monthly trend analysis, profit and loss, and balance sheet reports Complete VAT and tax returns within deadlines Qualifications and Experience Chartered Accountant (ACCA or CA) with several years of PQE Previous IFRS and financial services experience Proven track record in team management and development Strong project management skills Knowledge of different jurisdictional tax requirements Experience with regulatory filings Competencies, Skills, and Behaviors Proficient in various accounting systems, with knowledge of Microsoft Business Central being advantageous Advanced Excel skills, including macro level, Power Pivot, and Power BI Team player with excellent leadership qualities French language skills would be a bonus How to Apply: If you meet the above requirements, please send your resume DIRECTLY to: helsmithnetworkfinance.co.za For more finance jobs, please visit our website: www.networkrecruitmentinternational.com If there is no reply within two weeks, please assume that your application for the vacancy was unsuccessful.
