My client is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting the financial management of our group entities and ensuring accurate financial reporting. What you'll be doing: Prepare annual financial budgets and process various sub-ledger transactions (cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable). Handle general journal entries, monthly journals, reconciliations, and relevant calculations. Assist with VAT and tax calculations, preparing monthly financial statements for review. Support internal and external audits and complete ad-hoc financial tasks as assigned. Manage the fixed asset register and process related transactions. Gather and analyze financial data for insightful business reports. Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting to stakeholders. Maintain adherence to Group governance, policies, and compliance regulations. What you bring to the table: (CA(SA) qualification 0-3 years post article experience in a corporate environment Excellent MS Office 365 skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving abilities. A keen eye for detail with solid analytical and technical skills. The ability to work independently under pressure and manage time effectively. Bonus points if you have: Previous experience in the mining industry and with ERP systems.
