Financial Accountant (SAIPA) - - Vredenburg

Well-established and growing retail supplier of building materials seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Accountant to assist with financial analysis and to provide financial accounting services. Based in VREDENBURG.

For the position you would be required to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Financial or Management Accounting
SAIPA registered
Completed articles
Around 3 years’ finance experience, with proven track record
Experience in the retail, retail building environment (highly desirable)

Responsibilities would include you to:

Management of accounts and ensuring accuracy of the accounting records,
Allocations of income and expenses in the ledger accounts,
Assist with inter-group transactions and postings,
Assist with inter-group loan account transactions,
Assist with all statutory company requirements,
Assist with payroll of subsidiary companies within the group,
Assist with costing of manufacturing within the group,
Assist with internal control procedures,
Draft management accounts and financial statements,
Assist in the compiling of reports and analytics,
Assist with the development of policies and procedures,
Assist with the daily reconciliation of bank records,
First authorization and loading of payments as required by the company policies,
Assist in accounting system processing,
Assist with training and mentoring of the Financial Department’s employees where required.
