Candidate will be required to provide quality oversight with respect to Master Data, Fixed Assets and Payroll Accounting functions; The Incumbent will also be required to perform duties to ensure compliance with Financial Administration, General Accepted Accounting Principles, Legislative Compliance, and Company policies and procedures.
Requirement
- Chartered Accountant (SA)
- Minimum five (5) years working experience as a Financial Manager;
- Management in a Shared Services environment advantageous;
- JDE and Hyperion System experience advantageous;
Responsibilities
- Fixed Assets:
- Manage the Fixed Assets Team;
- Perform Analytical Analysis on the Fixed Assets;
- Assist with the correct application of Capital Allowances;
- Ensure timeous reporting on the accounting and tax reconciliations;
Master Data:
- Manage the Masterfile Team;
- Perform Analytics on the Masterfile Data;
Financial Accounting:
- Preparation and compliance of VAT returns;
- Raising Orders, GRV's for the Central Finance Divisions;
- Preparing budgets and forecasts for the Shared Services Division;
- Review of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and report on variances (Hyperion);
- Prepare and reconcile the income tax (incl. Deferred Tax) for the Shared Services Division into the relevant tax software (One-source);
- Check and release EFT payments according to internal control processes;
Payroll Accounting:
- Review all third-party payments and reconciliation to the
- general ledger allocation;
- Perform sample audits of all payroll input, and agree to current individual tax legislation;
- Review management reports, payroll journals and general ledger entries;
- Review EMP501 and IRP5 submissions
