Our client, a leading Law Firm, wants to appoint a energetic and dynamic Financial Manager at their offices in Durbanville. The successful person will be responsible for the full Financial Management of the company and financial experience in a law firm will be beneficial. Preparation of salaries on Sage VIP Cloud Payroll Preparation and submission of SARS EMP201s Preparation and submission of EMP501s, Workmen's Compensation, and IRP5s Basic HR such as leave recording, preparing letters of appointment and contracts of employment Submission of WSP/ATR Report annually (assisted by consultant) Supplier contracts management (Office Rental, printers, Insurance, Indemnity Insurance renewals etc.) Professional Membership Management – Fidelity Fund certificate application for the FFC's of the directors, Letters of Good standing (annually) Approving weekly petty cash and groceries list from office administrator Preparing Board meeting agenda, taking minutes Preparing the Provisional tax calculations Preparing and submitting the bi-monthly VAT201's Compiling the information pack for the directors personal tax(which is done by the auditors) Accounting of the business and trust accounts (assisted by a junior), up to Trial Balance Monthly salary journals, Intercompany Journals and Invoicing Reviewing the creditors processing and reviewing monthly creditors for payment (processed by the creditors clerk) Completing the month end process and preparing the monthly management reports Creation of the invoices on AJS for Conveyancing fees (Transfers, Bonds and BCS) Performing fees transfers on the system to take fees from Trust to Business – as required (weekly) Updating of Long term cashflow reports through liaising with department heads on expected fees in pipeline Assisting directors with posting WIP as per timesheets to AJS and finalising invoices, as well as managing debtors and following up on payments Backup banking person(capturer) when the creditors clerk is on leave IT Point of contact for firm wide issues(assisted by office administrator) Preparation of audit files for the Statutory Audit of Financial statements, the Attorney Trust audit and the BEE audit annually – Liaising with auditors to assist them with the documentation as required Compiling of the documents for the auditors to complete the Financials of the directors personal Family Trusts and entities (gather bank statements, summarise and summarise rental income if applicable) Review the AFS, and tax calculations provided by the auditors before presenting to the directors Minimum Qualifications: Accounting Diploma/Degree (Bcom or Bacc) Minimum Experience required: Articles (SAIPA or SAICA) or 2 years' experience as financial accountant Legal firm experience would be beneficial Fluent in Afrikaans and English R28k to R35k per month Apply Now
