Matase Industrial Solutions is an established electrical equipment manufacturer, which specializes in standby generator sets, electrical installation, battery energy storage systems and UPS systems with an ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certifications. We offer generator rentals, maintenance, repairs, installations, and diesel refills across Southern Africa. We are amongst the largest players in the diesel generator space in South Africa with a proven track record over the years. Some of our clients are large, respected, and major players in their sectors on the African continent. Matase Industrial Solutions is seeking a Financial Manager to lead and provide a strategic direction to all the business units as well as manage its Finance division and related workstreams. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the full finance and its related streams as well as play an oversight role on all operations of the business. The role reports into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Head Office located in Alberton, Johannesburg. Travelling to various branches across the country and abroad will be required from time to time. The incumbent will also be required to work closely with executives from different units, across different offices as well as external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly organized, have strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry, with an industrial sector experience being an added advantage, value generation driven, an ability to coach and mentor, and be hands-on, pragmatic and dynamic. We are looking for a great team player and a change agent who is excited by challenges and willing to go the extra mile. Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business decisions. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders. Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes. Evaluate and recommend capital investments, including machinery, equipment, and facilities. Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Manage cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and optimizing cash positions. Oversee financial systems and processes, including ERP systems, to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and debtors and creditors management. Maintaining cashbooks and records. Reporting to management and stakeholders. Leading the relationship between our business and external stakeholders/ auditors. Managing all taxation matters. Adhering to financial regulations and legislation. Developing long-term business plans based. Developing risk minimizing strategies. Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company. BCom Hons essential CA (SA) will be an added advantage CIMA At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment at a senior managerial level, with experience from an industrial sector being an added advantage. Experience in fundraising and investor relations is key.
