Fitter (Shift worker) - Bronkhorstspruit

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Maintenance: Prioritise safety and perform scheduled inspections, planned maintenance, and breakdown repairs on equipment.
- Problem Solving: Conduct fault finding, root cause analysis, and repair faults with a focus on detail and precision.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the production team regarding mechanical issues and maintain good housekeeping standards, including tool management.
- Machinery Operation: Set up and adjust metalworking machines, operate them to produce parts, and ensure the accuracy and quality of finished components.
- Assembly and Fabrication: Fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
- Documentation: Maintain logs and records related to job card feedback, materials, and equipment used.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure a safe work environment.
- Flexibility: Be available for overtime, standby, and call-outs as needed, while embracing teamwork and supporting other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Certification: Red Seal - Relevant trade certificate.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the relevant trade.
- Education: Minimum Grade 10; Grade 12 preferred. Must be able to read and write.
- Skills: Organized, neat, innovative, critical thinker with strong planning, time management, and decision-making abilities.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of machines and tools, ability to work at heights.
- Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
