Our client, a leader in the industry, is seeking an experienced Millwright to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Maintenance: Ensure safety precautions are observed, perform scheduled inspections, and carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Problem Solving: Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis, liaise with the maintenance foreman regarding mechanical/electrical issues, and ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained.
- Technical Operations: Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines, dismantle and repair faulty tools, and operate hand and machine tools.
- Quality Control: Check the accuracy and quality of finished parts and assemblies, ensuring all work meets specifications.
- Communication and Reporting: Discuss tasks with the maintenance foreman, report completed tasks, and suggest improvements for efficiency and productivity.
- Flexibility: Be available for overtime, standby, and call-outs, and actively participate in teamwork and collaboration.
- Innovation: Assist in installing new machines and improving existing ones to enhance functionality.
Requirements:
- Certification: Red Seal - Relevant trade certificate.
- Education: Minimum Grade 10; Grade 12 preferred. Must be able to read and write.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in the relevant trade.
- Skills: Organized, neat, problem solver, innovative, critical thinker with strong planning, time management, and decision-making abilities.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of machines and tools, ability to work at heights, and proficiency in using welding equipment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
