Food and Beverage Manager - South Africa
Responsibilities:
Manage all food and beverage outlets including restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, ensuring consistency.
Oversee menu planning, pricing, and cost management.
Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff.
Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels efficiently.
Prepare and analyze reports on food and beverage performance.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or similar role in a reputable hotel or hospitality establishment.
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cost control and menu planning.
Understanding of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
