Responsible to supervise the activities of the designated department and ensure that production meets output and quality goals Compliance Comply with policies and procedures including ISO Operations Management Follow daily production schedule received from manager Organise labour, materials and equipment for daily production schedule Supervise and monitor outputs of employees Attend to production delays and changes to the production schedule Resolve technical problems Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment methods and quality of product Support the Training department in the development of operating procedures for various processes Assist in new product, process, plant development requirements Monitor waste of responsible factory Quality Management Monitor quality of products Customer / Supplier Liaison Liaison with maintenance department On time delivery of materials from supplier Cost Management Adherance to approved budgets Safety and Environment Management Apply OSHACT policies and regulations in accordance with legislation Adhere to environmental policies and regulations according to legislation Reporting and Administration Administer people records Administer production / monitoring systems People Management Processes Assist with manpower and skills level requirements Provide on the job training where necessary Maintain a positive industrial relations and teamwork climate Provide input, monitor and control adherence to the necessary company policies and procedures Leave Management Communicate effectively with staff Minimum Qualification Grade 12 National Diploma in Production Management or Industrial Engineering advantageous Minimum Experience 3-5 years wire drawing experience in the wire manufacturing industry Skills Computer Literacy People Management Effective Communication Planning and Organising Problem Solving Knowledge Production processes Basic Mechanical Processes ISO 9001 OSHACT Lean Manufacturing Behavioural Competencies Leadership Data Rational Decisive Innovative Conscientious Rule Following Democratic Evaluative
